A close relationship has bound me to ULIS since its creation. Senegal has repeatedly called upon the services of ULIS Group for both its port infrastructure and various geotechnical and environmental studies. As Regional Director of Port Infrastructure at LafargeHolcim, I was for 9 years the Director of the Tanger Med Port, a member of the board of TMSA, and the Deputy CEO of the TMPA Port Authority. For the construction of Tanger Med 1, Tanger Med RORO, and Tanger Med 2, we trusted giants in port infrastructure, including the Bouygues Group. This key player in port construction is well-known for its meticulous selection of partners and subcontractors, so it is no coincidence that they chose to entrust their subsea works to the ULIS Group for 10 years on this project. ULIS’s technical rigor, safety standards, and responsiveness were demonstrated on this leading maritime infrastructure in Africa. Since then, I was not surprised to learn that the ULIS Group has successfully expanded across the African continent, from Dakar to Djibouti, including Guinea, Mali, and Mozambique.
